Interview a parent, grandparent or aunt/uncle about their own love story. In your written response, include
a) how the couple met
b) what their dating relationship was like (what did they like to do together? how long did they date before they were engaged?)
c) how they were engaged (what happened/did they have a ring? Was it discussed prior to the engagement?
d) how did their family and friends reacted to their decision to marry
e) how has their love relationship has manifested itself through the years (how do they show their love to each other?)
f) what role has faith and religious community played in their life together? Be specific, and perhaps illustrate how it has changed over time.
The top portion, the ‘story’, will be presented using the educational App Story Kit.
There should be at least TEN (10) pages in the story, using the 7 points above as a starting point. You can use more than one page for some of the questions or as needed.
Each page should contain at least TWO (2) pictures, meaning you should have a total of 20 pictures. These can be pictures you take of pictures of the couple, pictures of their families, etc.
Each page must contain audio as well: either audio of you narrating the story, as well as audio of at least one other person (if, for example, both people are not living or live far away, you could interview another relative who is local that can talk about them)
Have fun with it! Add in some text, decorations, borders, etc. without making it look messy!
The bottom portion, the reflection, will be typed and handed in on Monday 2/11/13
Conclude by sharing how this love story has affected your perception of relationships in your own life.
What did you learn from their story? How does the love story compare with the relationships and love stories you see on television and in movies?
Give specific examples, comparing and/or contrasting the stories of love and fidelity in the media with the love story you’ve shared.
Find a modern love song that illustrates or connects with the love story you’ve shared.
Explain why you chose this song. Be specific, citing the lyrics and how this song connects with the love story.
